This bright berry beet smoothie is an antioxidant powerhouse. Mixed berries, beetroot and chia seeds provide the nutritional value. Throw in a handful of kale or spinach for an extra boost if you like.
A frozen banana and medjool dates give this smoothie natural sweetness.
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries or strawberries)
- 1 frozen banana
- 2-3 medjool dates
- 1 cup cooked and peeled beetroot
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
Blend all together – add a splash of water if you think it’s too thick. Sprinkle some extra chia seeds over the top.
